Looks: Pure white egret. Smaller than Great egret with black gape line doesn’t extent beyond eye. In breeding birds plums are present on mantle and breast. Breeding birds have black bill with yellowish green lores. Non breeding birds have black tipped yellow bill and yellow lores. Lives: River banks, marshes, grass lands.
