Looks: Black upper parts. Overall black head, neck, and upper breast. Long and erect black crest. A white beast band followed by rufous barring on under parts. It has white patch on under wing. In flight black underwing coverts and grayish primaries visible. Occasionally seen in groups. Sexes alike. Lives evergreen forest, streams.
