Looks: Dark brownish black eagle with yellow cere and legs. Wings reaching tip of tail at rest. Sexes alike. Juvenile’s shows indistinct pale streaking to head and under parts. Lives: well wooded areas.
ദേഹമാസകലം കറുപ്പുനിറവും നാസികാപടലത്തിനു ചുറ്റും മഞ്ഞനിറവും മഞ്ഞക്കാലുമുള്ള കരിമ്പരുന്ത് ചേക്കിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റം വാലുവരെ നീണ്ടുകിടക്കുന്നതു കാണാം. കേരളത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാ കാടുകളിലും കണ്ടുവരുന്നു.
