A rare resident of High altitude grasslands of kerala. Looks very similar to zitting cisticola but brightly golden coloured. Unstreaked rufous nape and sides of neck and supercilium. And Darker tail, Head is unstreaked and creamy yellow in breeding plumage. Tail is longer in winter. Chiefly insectivorous, and have aerial displays. Call is very unique and can be easily identified
